IHBT Palampur(Himachal pradesh) has invited applications from eligible & interested candidates for "Walk-in-Interview" to be held on 08.12.2008 engagement in various In House and Network Projects on purely temporary basis (co-terminus with the project) for the following positions:-
1. Project Assistant Level-II Rs. 10,000/- per month
Educational Qualifications :- 1st Class M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Genetic/ Plant Breeding/ Virology/ Biology/ Chemistry/ Plant Pathology/ Agriculture/ Agronomy/ Agrometeorology/ Forestry/ Horticulture/ Plant Physiology/ Vegetable Science/ Soil Science/ Crop Physiology/ Zoology/ Entomology/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Life Science (knowledge of computer applications) / Botany/ Agri. Extension/ Industrial Chemistry/ Natural Plant Product/ Pharmacy/ Chemical Engineering/ Agrochemicals/ Biochemistry / Ecology / M.Tech-M.Sc. in Geology with experience of GIS & RS application/ Computer Science for database development.
Age: 28 years as on 08.12.2008
2. Project Assistant Level-I – Rs. 7000/-per month
Educational Qualifications: 1st class B.Sc. in Medical/ Non Medical/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Age Relaxation:-Relaxation in upper age limit of the candidate belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH and Women candidate shall be provided as per Govt. of India Rules/ CSIR circular.
Applicants must indicate as to whether any of their blood/ close relative is working in IHBT or any other National Labs/ Instts of the CSIR.
Eligible candidates may appear for “Walk-in-Interview” on the date, time and place mentioned above. Candidates appearing for “Walk-in-Interview” have to submit an application on the prescribed proforma available at the venue of Walk-in-Interview alongwith attested photocopies of educational qualifications, age, category, experience etc. phone contact and photocopies of testimonials. The position are purely temporary and co- terminus with the projects. SC/ ST/ Physically Handicapped candidates will be paid to-and-fro TA by shortest route of second class trains/ ordinary bus fare on production of train/ bus tickets. Candidates must also bring with them original certificates at the time of the appearing for interview failing which he/ she will not be allowed to appear for interview.
