Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday gifted the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bilaspur worth Rs 1471 crore to the people of the Himachal Pradesh. PM inaugurated it from C Block of AIIMS. After this, he also dedicated the Hydro Engineering College to the people of the state built at a cost of 140 crores. He made its virtual launch.
The Bilaspur AIIMS has been constructed at a cost of Rs 1470 crore. It will have 18 specialty and 17 super specialty departments. Also 18 state-of-the-art surgery rooms, 750 beds, with 64 ICU beds. This hospital is spread over 247 acres and will have round the clock treatment facility.
Now people of Himachal would get state of art advanced health facilities in Himachal only. Earlier for any kind of serious ailments or surgeries most patient had to visit PGI, Chandigarh.
